Job Responsibilities
1. Support the Software Team by writing production-ready code and unit tests.
2. Support the Platform Validation & Test Team with automated test cases (Cloud and native).
3. Triage of software issues.
4. Produce clear documentation where required.
5. Attend an approved BTEC/Diploma course for one day per week.
Job Requirements
We welcome applications from those who have a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including science and math's, and one or more of the following:
6. 3 A-levels at grade B or above
7. An Advanced Apprenticeship
8. Equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience
As a Software Apprentice, we will be looking for the following interests/skills:
9. Excellent interpersonal communication including willingness to ask for help when needed.
10. Team player with ability and desire to learn.
11. Resourceful and adaptive to new situations.
12. Determination to see tasks through to conclusion.
13. A genuine interest in software, demonstratable by extracurricular activities.
14. Experience in using Source Code Management Tools such as GitHub or Subversion would be an advantage.
15. Knowledge of programming in Python or C would be an advantage.
