Clean Air Zone Travel Advisor £12.80 per hour BS1 6XN Requirements include: Excellent communication skills with experience of engaging with people from a range of backgrounds face-to-face, by email, over the phone and the ability to converse with citizens and provide advice in accurate spoken English, or through a BSL interpreter. Excellent organisational skills and a reliable nature. Should be literate and numerate - able to closely follow and understand briefings and carry out work with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and work on own initiative. Willing and able to work flexible hours and to travel to several places within a working day and to work in all weathers as the role will require outdoor work. Able to demonstrate knowledge and/or experience of equalities and diversity issues. Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or equivalent including the following: Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and have a willingness to learn new applications and technology as appropriate. The temporary Clean Air Zone officer will form part of a skilled team who are engaging with the public, businesses, and organisations to regarding the Bristol Clean Air Zone. They will provide support and advice and help administer financial support available to those with non-compliant vehicles. This will be completed by email and phone and experience of excel is essential as part of this role will be updating spreadsheets. The role will also include responding to emails from the 'cazsupport' inbox responding to general queries and processing any information that is submitted to support financial applications. The temporary CAZ officer will be required to undertake office duties whilst working on the financial support for non-compliant vehicles and will support officers across the wider team with transport related project activity. There will be opportunity to attend in person events such as consultation and roadshow sessions and the launch of school streets. The team are based at the Create Centre in Bristol.
