Description About you: Are you an experienced and motivated Business Manager who thrives in a demanding environment? Are you good with dealing in with a diverse range of tasks, which includes diary management, liaising with senior stakeholders with a strong communication skill set? The Ideal Candidate will be: To provide an effective channel of communication to for the CEO and People Director within the department and with external stakeholders in deciding arrangements for meetings and commissioning the required materials. To communicate clearly, whilst recognising the confidential and sensitive nature of the work and the need to be discreet when dealing with sensitive/high profile issues. To ensure that the CEO and People Directors time is coordinated and managed effectively, highlighting any pressure points. Develop strong and trusted relationships with GFSL teams across the organisation, working closely with the Exec function and external stakeholders, working strategically to ensure that the CEO and People Director haves all the advice and information required to make well-informed, robust decisions. To be a point of contact with the Non-Executive Directors ensuring they are fully supported and have all required materials to fulfil their roles. Ensure timely briefing and advice is provided to the CEO and People Director, using agreed templates with clear objectives and interventions/lines to take provided in advance. Provide timely and accurate minutes and files notes, maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring that appropriate and timely action is taken to resolve issues, respond to enquiries and requests. Experience Required: To be successful, you will need to be someone who can communicate well with internal and external stakeholders. You can engage effectively to build relationships with stakeholders, officials, and Ministerial offices. You will have excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail. You demonstrate resilience, good judgement, and the ability to remain calm when situations change at short notice. You are responsive to changing priorities and confident in your own ability to apply good judgement when making fast-paced decisions. You work well independently and as part of a team. This role is full time only and requires travel across the Southern FM prison estate as and when required. Why join us?
