Your role in a nutshell
We are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to work in our International Markets team, on a Fixed Term Contract until the end of the year. Main responsibilities will include:
* Manage assigned markets and categories across the Head Franchise/International Market business within the Commercial function
* Ensure sales and margin are maximised to the mutual benefit of The Body Shop and the International markets, through wholesale and retail pricing, sales and stock planning, new product sell-ins, commercial offers and relationship management with a customer focus.
* Engage with assigned markets to deliver refined commercial practices with a particular focus on Price and Promotion, as well as having a responsibility for setting, maintaining and managing commercially sound Wholesale prices and Maximum RRPs with the support of direct reports (Assistant Commercial Managers - ACM) as part of the wider Commercial team.

* Support negotiations with International markets on both key & tactical commercial initiatives
* Drive assigned categories across International Markets by analysing performance, liaising with key markets and Global Teams to identify NPD or discontinuation opportunities and any other category initiatives, working with other members of the International Markets team to implement any category-focused activities in markets
* Maximise Sell-In volumes through targeting content to markets, balancing strategic and tactical end to end pricing, quarterly commercial offers and review of returns
* Support implementation of Annual end to end Price Review and provide specific insight for assigned markets on a regular basis, analysing data to inform insights and actions
* Ensure compliance to the internal WS pricing audit process with support from ACMs
* Work with assigned markets to deliver business strategy to achieve sales targets
* Monitor turnover and margin targets, as well as sell-in/sell out, for assigned markets and categories and contribute to relevant strategic initiatives to maximise potential
* Communicate and drive alignment to TBS brand strategy, execution and plans by market and/or category

* Responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of The Body Shop including minimising the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace and responsible for reporting potential risks, real accidents and near misses to relevant managers
What we look for
Experience:
* Multiple years of experience in a similar commercial role, ideally in an international/multi-geography retail business.
* Experience of providing results-focused commercial analytics and decisions within a retail or consumer business, with exposure to price indexing and related data and reports.
* Ability to work with and influence others across a number of functions and levels within a business, using analytical insight to drive growth and improve KPIs (sales, margin, transactions).
* Experience of working with Franchisees desired, but not essential.
Qualifications:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
Competencies required:
* Manages Complexity to achieve results, with integrity
* Interacts and communicates effectively, with good attention to detail
* High level of MS office (excel, powerpoint) skills essential
* Experience with data and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, SAP, S4 Hana/BW) desirable
* Customer-led, creative and analytical with a hands on approach
* Demonstrates entrepreneurship, alongside an iterative mentality (challenge the status quo)
* Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to oversee, train and guide direct reports supporting their development
* Ability to deputise for Head of Commercial where necessary
