Weekend Front of House Supervisor On site in Rhodes House, Oxford Permanent Part-time 24 hours per week (working Saturday and Sunday including BH weekends) £33,500 - £35,200 P ro Rata We have an exciting opportunity for a Weekend Front of House Supervisor to join the Rhodes Trust, Oxford. The purpose of the Weekend FOH Supervisor (WFOHS) role is to assist the Facilities Manager (FM) in leading the Weekend Porter and Reception teams for the delivery of an efficient, consistent and excellent service across the Trusts Estate. The Weekend Supervisor is also tasked with overseeing the onsite weekend contract cleaning team and ensuring all bedrooms are prepared to a high standard ready for weekend guests. The role This role is key to ensuring that Rhodes House and its ancillary buildings are presented at their very best at all times, and to create a welcoming, clean and well-kept environment for all staff, Scholars, and visitors. This role also helps ensure the House is ready for delivery of its extensive and complex programme of commercial events whilst ensuring that the Trust is compliant at all times with its legal, environmental and health and safety obligations. The role will be responsible for; Leadership Being the onsite weekend Supervisory presence and leading the weekend FOH teams as well as overseeing the cleaning teams and assisting the Events Manager with weekend events. Front of House Responsible for delivering a friendly, professional and efficient customer service to all staff, Scholars, clients and guests of the Trust. Welcome visitors to the House and provide assistance where necessary. To respond to enquiries from staff, Scholars, Trustees and the general public promoting a professional and positive image of the Trust. Accommodation/Cleaning Responsible for delivering a professional service to all weekend accommodation guests and dealing with any issues which may arise. Assist in the co-ordination and preparation of weekend guest bedrooms and assist in the spot checking of room cleanliness prior to arriving guests. Events Safety and logistics of commercial and Trust events, working with on-site caterers and ensuring function rooms are set-up prior to the start of each event with the furniture and equipment as detailed in the Running Sheet, with flexibility for last minute amendments. Maintenance Ensure the management team are made aware of any damaged property or equipment belonging to the Trust. Ensure the correct and safe upkeep of the Trusts equipment, furnishings and fittings. To serve as a member of the House emergency response team coordinating responders. Possess a high conversational standard of spoken English. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to create good working relationships with people at all levels across the Trust. Have a proactive and enthusiastic attitude Please see more details on the job description Desirable Criteria Security experience Good IT skills including email, internet and Microsoft office and an ability to learn IT systems and produce reports. The Weekend FOH Supervisor will need to become qualified, if not already so, in the following, (the Trust will meet the cost of this and any other training required for the role): o Emergency First Aid at Work (or other First Aid training course if required) o Fire Marshal o Emergency Evacuation training o Manual handling training o Defibrillator training.
