Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children, ensuring their wellbeing and development through various activities. The Childcare Provider will be responsible for managing daily routines, communicating effectively with both children and parents, and fostering a positive atmosphere.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise and engage with children in a safe and caring environment.
2. Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
3. Manage daily routines including meals and playtime.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area.
5. Provide leadership and guidance to children, encouraging positive behaviour.
6. Drive to various locations if required for After school club or holiday clubs, may be needed at different locations.
7. May involve some weekend work.
Experience
1. Previous experience working with children is not essential.
2. A background in early childhood education or nursery settings is highly desirable.
3. Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with children and parents.
4. Leadership qualities to manage groups of children effectively.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in care.

The Outdoors Project runs After School Clubs and Holiday Clubs for children in school years 1 to 6, 100% outdoors, all year round. Our mission is to encourage kids to spend quality time outdoors and gain all the benefits from doing so! Fresh air, nature, exercise, developing friendships, engaging in “wild time”, exploring creativity & imagination, learning new skills and above all having lots of FUN!!
We are looking for staff members to join in with our school holiday clubs, after school clubs, and birthday parties. We are looking for someone who is fun and engaging with the children. We can provide full safeguarding, first aid, and club session training and will need you to complete a DBS check.
The ability to work well within a team, communicate, be on time, and reliable is essential.
Term time hours: 2pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday (with scope to grow to full time as the business grows)
School Holiday hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
Some weekend working required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.55-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 35 per week
