Reed Accountancy are partnered with a well-established organisation in the recruitment for a temporary Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team. Initially this role will be 2 days a week for a 2-month project. However, could well be extended. As a Bookkeeper, your key duties will include: Input all day-to-day financial transactions into the accounting system. Process and verify all payable invoices by the end of each month. Manage the purchase ledger function on Sage, including processing purchase invoices and expense claims. Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and issues. Conduct payment runs and reconciliations and allocate direct debit payments. Reconcile payments and customer receipts in multiple currencies. Post all receipts/credits on the computer system to maintain up-to-date records. Assist in filing all paperwork generated within the Accounts team. Keep bank accounts up to date and perform bank reconciliations. Verify and reconcile company credit card transactions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records. Data entry skills with a strong aptitude for numbers. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with accounts software, preferably Sage (training can be provided if unfamiliar). Negotiation skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
