We are seeking a Clinical Educator to join our dynamic team and help the Trust maintain its position as one of the most innovative and leading cardio-thoracic specialist NHS organisations. The role is central to the planning, delivery, and management of training programs across the non-medical professions and grades, tailored towards staff, students, and other learners within the organisation. You will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders and providing line management support to Clinical Education Facilitators, thus ensuring the delivery, evaluation, and development of training and development. As a senior team member, you will work closely with colleagues and peers collaboratively to ensure the portfolio of Clinical Education activity remains relevant, meets required standards, and is delivered to the highest quality.

Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Collaboration with senior managers, specialists, and educators to identify training needs and develop comprehensive clinical education programs across a variety of clinical skills.
2. Act as the Trust lead for regulatory standards, supporting mentors, assessors, and learners in competency development and assessment.
3. Coordinate placement programs for Pre-Registration Learners, working with HEIs to maintain quality clinical learning environments.
4. Deliver core clinical training, induction, and competency workshops for staff, ensuring alignment with organisational needs.
5. Manage and develop junior team members, ensuring high performance through effective supervision and appraisal.
6. Lead audits and reviews to measure the effectiveness of educational initiatives, contributing to service improvement and innovation.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered professional: Nurse, Allied Healthcare Professional, or Healthcare Scientist.
* Qualification and experience in student assessment such as: Practice Assessor/Educator, the mentorship preparation pathway, ENB 998, or equivalent.
Experience
* Ability to communicate information which may be difficult/sensitive or complex to both individuals and groups.
* Experience in teaching and assessing competencies/proficiencies in the clinical learning environment.
* Knowledge of HCPC Standards/NMC Code of Conduct, Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment, and professional practice guidance in relation to pre-registration education.
* Experience at band 6 level with knowledge of pre-registration nursing and AHP programmes and NMC/HCPC standards relating to education.
