Salary: £13.75 - £15 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school in Clitheroe. This role involves supporting children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who have learning needs (not behaviour-related).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children with EHCPs.
2. Work closely with the class teachers to adapt learning materials.
3. Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes confidence and independence.
4. Assist with differentiated activities to meet individual learning needs.
5. Liaise with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to ensure children receive the best possible support.
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with learning needs.
2. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's education.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
4. An understanding of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and strategies to support learning.
5. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) or experience in a similar role.
