Job summary Key elements of the role are: Supporting the Lead Training Programme Director as required to fulfil the GP School's agreed functions, including contributing to the annual report, QIP and SAR. Ensure a strong partnership with fellow STPD to allow a succinct approach to Regional Teaching. Oversee development and management of TPD's within the Trainer Directorate. Training Programme Support (TPS) - Lead link TPD for trainers, offering help and support as and when required. Conduct and oversee Trainer Annual Appraisals ensuring Trainers are aware of their responsibility to ensure a yearly appraisal has taken place including Cross Border, Face to face and Peer appraisals. Evaluate, help organise and facilitate Trainer Workshops. Assisting in recruitment and selection of GPSTRs. Represent the Training Programme as part of the HEE intending trainer's course. Ensure designated TPD's deliver additional support in the form of Trainer induction/workshops, OSCE's, Hospital Liaison (including annual visits and ad-hoc support) and AKT support. Participate in the annual quality meetings, team meetings and TPS meetings when requested and stand in for LTPD when required at meetings/events.
