Maths Teacher - SEMH School
Location: Newbury, Berkshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a specialist school catering for children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
We are seeking an inspiring and skilled educator with a strong background in teaching Maths, who is committed to helping students develop their numeracy skills in a nurturing and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with additional needs and will be able to engage and motivate students through tailored lessons that foster a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that are engaging, accessible, and appropriate for students with SEMH needs
* Support students in developing their numeracy skills, helping them achieve their full potential
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies that support student progress
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and interventions to ensure success
* Contribute to the overall school ethos, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Maths Teacher with experience teaching in a SEND/SEMH setting (or a strong willingness to learn)
* Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them succeed
* Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and inspire students in their learning
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
