Salary: £35,949 - £41,297
About Our Client:
Our client is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and autism through supported living, respite, and outreach services. Their mission is to ensure that the people being supported are experiencing positive life outcomes and that the staff are well-managed and motivated.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Manager to oversee services in Conwy, Flintshire, and Denbigh. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in support services, managing and leading staff, and promoting a culture of positive risk-taking and safeguarding. You will work from offices in Denbigh and Bangor, with occasional strategy days in Cardiff (all expenses paid).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage support services across Conwy, Flintshire, and Denbigh.
2. Ensure that services are delivered to the highest quality standards for positive life outcomes.
3. Manage and lead a team of Service Managers, Assistant Service Managers and support workers.
4. Promote safeguarding and a culture of positive risk-taking.
5. Collaborate with different agencies and lead meetings and supervision sessions.
6. Maintain knowledge and application of community care legislation, adult protection procedures, budget management, health and safety legislation, and employment legislation.
7. Willingness to work from various bases throughout Wales and travel to meet service users and external agencies.
Requirements:
8. Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, older people, and/or autism in a paid or voluntary capacity.
9. Previous supervisory management experience.
10. Experience working with different agencies and leading meetings and supervision.
11. Level 5 qualification (or Level 4 with willingness to work towards Level 5).
12. Knowledge of person-centred service delivery and positive approach to behaviour management.
13. Knowledge of community care legislation, adult protection procedures, budget management, health and safety legislation, and employment legislation.
14. Valid driver's license and own car.
