Role Overview
As a Technical Sales Manager focusing on our client’s high-end product range, you will engage with B2B customers and M&E contractors, providing excellent technical knowledge and support.
You will support sales, technical support, training, and aftercare daily within the customer network across the North East region.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Build strong relationships with contractors to ensure all products become their product of choice. Use these relationships to promote comprehensive solutions where relevant.
* Convert new users to our products in line with sales objectives.
* Administer activity (e.g., Customer Contact Details, Call Reports, Project Data) via the system, ensuring timely reporting.
* Conduct contractor training sessions and offer on-site support to ensure proper installation of products.
* Ensure merchants are fully trained and promote our client’s products as their preferred choice.
* Achieve and exceed area sales targets.
* Report secured projects to the Marketing Department for case studies.
* Collaborate with local Specification Sales Managers to convert specified projects.
* Work closely with the Business Support team to maximize potential in the area.
* Previous experience in B2B technical sales, ideally within Engineering, Construction, Bathrooms, Piping, or Drainage.
* Mechanical or specifications-related background.
* Ability to build relationships and sell products.
* Willingness to learn about technical products to ensure high training standards.
* Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
* Experience working with and achieving sales of industry-leading products.
