Position Title: HR Advisor

Position Description:
* Our Client has a part-time, 12-month fixed-term opportunity to join them at their Parts Distribution Centre based in Daventry, Northants.
* It's an exciting time to join the team as they support the business through a period of growth and the ever-changing challenges facing the distribution centre, and support the HR team to modernise the way the Client works.
* As the HR Business Advisor, you will work in a small friendly HR team to support the distribution centre People Leaders in implementing strategies to manage approximately 350 employees in largely manual, warehouse roles.
* Both hourly and salaried employees are represented by the Clients' Trade Union partners, with whom they work closely.
* The role is broad-ranging, with a strong employee relations element, but also provides opportunities for an individual who enjoys HR project work, management/analysis of data, and professional HR advisory.
Skills Required:
* The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of HR products and services, be comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy being challenged professionally, and have a flexible mindset.
* Previous HR experience, particularly with a focus on business partnership and working within a manufacturing or distribution environment, is essential.
* Coaching business partners is integral to the role, requiring examples of negotiation, persuasion, and influence.
* HR administration is a necessary part of the role, and candidates must demonstrate varied HR administrative skills and examples of projects worked on.
* Experience working with Trade Union partners and examples of effective relationships in such environments are desired.
* Experience with absence management and disciplinary actions is critical in managing the business.
Skills Preferred:
* This position reports to the HR Manager, Daventry, and includes the following responsibilities:
* Coaching and supporting People Leaders through all HR-related actions, including resolution of employee relations issues.
* Supporting all resourcing requirements aligned to the resourcing and skills strategy.
* Developing effective relationships with all key stakeholders, including People Leaders and Trade Union partners.
* Using data to proactively identify business needs and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and deliver continuous improvements aligned to the business strategy, focused on enhancing the employee experience.
* Advising and supporting People Leaders, Trade Union partners, and employees with the interpretation and implementation of Company policies.
* Partnering with key stakeholders, including Occupational Health, on the management of both casual and long-term absence cases to support employee wellbeing and reduce absence levels.
* Providing HR support for formal investigations, including discipline, dignity at work, and grievance cases, partnering with Centres of Expertise to ensure consistency of policy application in line with legal considerations.
* Staying informed of developments within the HR profession and sharing best practices.
* Ensuring that the Company's commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion are maintained, promoting these values for all employees in line with local and corporate strategy.
Experience Required:
* 2 years of HR experience.
Experience Preferred:
* HR experience in manufacturing or distribution sectors.
Education Required:
* Degree preferred, CIPD preferred.
* Education is important to the Client; ideally, candidates will have a Degree or equivalent/CIPD. However, relevant experience and skills will also be considered.
Additional Information:
* Location: Daventry
* Max 30 hours; flexibility on days/hours available.
* All days onsite, no hybrid model, but flexibility on working days (3-5) and hours (e.g., school hours) is possible.
* 12-month Contract, Part-Time, 30 Hours per week.
