Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a leading supplier to the foodservice industry, on the appointment of a Payroll Officer.
Reporting to the Company Accountant, you will be a key member of the team, driving towards a successful weekly payroll function.
Working hours are:
Monday - Friday
9.00am - 5.00pm
The Role:
* Processing weekly payrolls, including new start/leaver procedures, SSP, SMP, and pension auto enrolment.
* Producing BACS reports and ensuring they are authorised within agreed timescales.
* Producing payroll reports and payslips for employees.
* Managing payroll and time and attendance queries in a professional, friendly manner, ensuring timely resolution.
* Submitting payroll files, pension deductions, and statutory returns on a timely basis.
* Keeping up to date with HMRC/Revenue to ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.
* Working in partnership with the HR teams to ensure data records are consistently and accurately maintained.
* Providing other administrative tasks as required.
Essential:
* At least three years' experience in a payroll environment preparing both monthly and weekly payroll.
* Experience with Opera 3 (Pegasus based system) and Sage Micropay.
* Must have working knowledge of NI and ROI payroll legislation.
* Possess excellent IT skills with experience in payroll management systems.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to provide high levels of accuracy in all work.
* Strong time management skills to meet payroll deadlines.
* Ability to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A self-starter who can deliver excellent results.
