We are recruiting an Advanced Social Worker to join our Children’s Assessment Service, Team 1, which is based in Bridlington. We work with families in the community delivering interventions through assessments and provide the families with ongoing interventions if required by transferring our families to our Strengthening and Support services, whether this is through child in need plans, child protection plans, or through court work and care proceedings. The team works closely with partner agencies and family support workers to deliver holistic interventions to children, young people, and families.
The Children’s Assessment Service within the East Riding covers the whole of the East Riding and is composed of 3 teams: Assessment Team 1, Assessment Team 2, and Assessment Team 3. Each team has 2 advanced social workers, 4 social workers, 2 apprentice social workers, and a student with dedicated admin support to undertake service-specific tasks. The roles report directly to the Team Manager. The service offers blended working opportunities and provides agile working kits to allow work to be completed in council offices or from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Building relationships with children, young people, and families.

* Co-developing plans with families and partner agencies.
* Providing intervention and support to children, young people, and families in the community.
