Contract: Essex Highways Location: Chelmsford Contract Type: Permanent Join the dynamic team at the Essex Traffic Control Centre (ETCC), where you'll play a key role in monitoring and managing road network delays while ensuring the delivery of accurate, real-time travel information to relevant organisations. Additionally, you will support the Bus Lane Enforcement function as needed, reviewing contraventions and making informed decisions regarding penalty charge notices The Role Monitor road network for congestion and incidents using various systems. Implement pre-defined plans and log responses to incidents. Liaise with emergency services, National Highways (regional and national traffic control centres), works partners and other relevant parties to provide co-ordinated incident response. Handle the two-way data exchange with the National Highways Regional and National Traffic Control Centres. Provide on-street information through Variable Message Signs in response to incidents or special events.
