Our client is looking to recruit a Workshop Foreman / Supervisor to head up their specialist Joinery workshop in Langley.
This workshop specializes in bespoke cabinetry & door sets for the most super prime projects in London. You’ll be responsible for full management of the workshop and production line of all projects by overseeing business development, design, estimating, production, and logistics.
Duties
* Oversee and supervise all aspects of the manufacturing operations.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and meet production goals.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
* Manage and optimize manufacturing processes to minimize costs and maximize productivity.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including financial forecasting and cost control measures.
* Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing professionals to achieve departmental objectives.
Requirements
The role is open to experienced Production and Workshop Managers who have ideally progressed from the bench and up the management ranks. Most importantly, the candidate must be trustworthy, reliable, conscientious, and a team player.
* Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
* Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial resources, and cost control measures.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
