Gap healthcare is currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Ipswich for a dedicated Support Worker.
The position is full time with 12 hour day shifts 8am - 8pm.
Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and supportive environment for the individual you are assisting. You will provide specialised care tailored to their unique needs, helping them manage the challenges associated with Angelman s Syndrome, epilepsy, and scoliosis. Your role is crucial in fostering their independence, enhancing their quality of life, and helping them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish a safe connection
* Maintain clear and effective communication.
* Stay composed during challenging situations
* Act in any emergency situation and apply to established protocol
* Provide direct care and support to individuals, including assistance with daily living activities and sporting activities
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professional
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* Must hold a UK Vailid driving license
* Experience in a care or support role
* A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to support others.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
