An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on an older adult assessment unit based on Enlli Ward, in Bronglais General Hospital.
We are looking for an experienced Staff Nurse who is committed to helping to improve and deliver the highest standards of person-centred assessment and care to older adults on an 11-bedded unit.
The ward takes admissions of adults with a range of needs, including functional illnesses and behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia from the Ceredigion and wider Hywel Dda University Health Board area.
You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team which consists of Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Support Workers, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Pharmacists, using a collaborative approach to solve and manage problems for the people in our care.
Various full and part-time hours are available.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants must have an interest in working with older adults, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to demonstrate a willingness to develop in the staff nurse role and as a member of the team.

The ward is an excellent learning environment for all grades and professions, and all staff are encouraged to develop to their maximum potential, with a wide range of formal training available both from the Health Board and the local University setting, and also from our ward-based development programme. The ward actively utilises Dementia Care Mapping to inform care planning and improve service delivery for its patients.

Qualifications and Knowledge
* Current NMC registration
* Degree in Nursing
* Evidence of post-registration study and training e.g. POVA
* Evidence of post-registration study and training e.g. Child Protection
* Evidence of post-registration study and training e.g. Intermediate Life Support if required in clinical setting
Experience
* Experience of providing holistic nursing care
* Clear understanding of clinical governance framework
* Implement evidence-based practice
Language Skills
