Lead Recruitment Analyst
Derby County Football Club is seeking to recruit a Lead Recruitment Analyst to join our Category One Academy at Moor Farm. The role will support the First Team Recruitment department with talent identification. The successful candidate will have to continue to build the recruitment department's Power Apps and Power BI dashboards and databases. The role will require a strong understanding of the use of statistics and data in football, as well as excellent presentation skills to produce accurate and easy-to-understand visualizations. The role will involve working closely with the club’s data team and Sporting Intelligence department to further develop the club’s recruitment apps. The successful candidate must also be proficient in Sportscode and video editing software to produce player highlight packages and profiles.
Key Responsibilities
1. To identify, monitor, and assist in recruiting players suitable to DCFC.
2. To build on, and maintain, the clubs Power BI and Power Apps Databases.
3. To create and maintain statistical databases that assist with the recruitment of players.
4. To produce player profiles (video and statistical) to strict deadlines.
5. Create and maintain DCFC specific player performance profiles and scores.
6. To scout players both live and on video.
7. Maintain club depth charts and shortlists.
8. Complete unique recruitment analysis projects and studies as and when required.
Personal Characteristics

Essential Experience
1. Experience using Power BI/Apps to create visualisations.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Football Analysis (desirable).
3. Experience writing reports using systems such as Scoutastic/Opta (desirable).
4. Record of recommending players that have succeeded in the EFL (desirable).
5. Experience using statistics from providers such as StatsBomb.
6. Experience using video systems such as Wyscout.
7. Experience using data to highlight or compare players.
8. Experience using SportsCode to clip games and produce profiles.
9. Experience scouting players in live games to complete reports (desirable).
Qualifications
1. FA Talent ID level 3 (desirable).
2. MSc or Equivalent qualification in Performance Analysis or Data Science.
3. Full UK driving License.
Competitive salary, dependent on experience. The role is full-time, working 35 hours per week. Due to the demands of a professional football environment, working evenings and weekends is required.
