English Teacher/Professional - Bath and NE Somerset
Protocol Education are working with secondary schools in the Bath and NE Somerset area to appoint enthusiastic and committed English Teachers/Professionals. We are looking for individuals who carry a passion for English, working with young people and making a positive impact on their lives and education.
Start Date: ASAP
Closing Date: 22/11/24
Qualified Teachers paid to scale
Unqualified - based on experience
Job Duties:
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students
2. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
3. Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning
4. Establish a positive and supportive learning environment
5. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support
Required Qualifications:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Preferred but not essential
2. Degree/Experience in English or related field
3. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for English
Experience:
1. Proven experience teaching English at secondary school level is preferred
2. Experience working with Children/Young People within education
3. Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Excellent understanding of English concepts and principles
2. Effective classroom management skills
3. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with English specialism
2. Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
