Job summary PLEASE NOTE; The start date for this post will be no earlier than May 2025 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified nurse to join the ULHT trust wide IBD nursing team. The post is an integral part of the gastroenterology multi-disciplinary team caring for patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The nursing service is led by a Band 8a lead nurse practitioner, supported by two Band 7 IBD clinical nurse specialists, a Band 3 Biologics Co-ordinator and this post will be one of two Band 6 nurses. Main duties of the job We are looking for a highly motivated, committed, confident, enthusiastic nurse, ideally with gastroenterology or related experience, to join our dynamic team providing high quality patient care across our Hospital sites. This post will be predominantly based on the Pilgrim Hospital, Boston site. The post holder will contribute to the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Nursing Service in collaboration with the Lead IBD NP, Consultant Gastroenterologists, ward staff and other health professionals. They will assess, plan and deliver evidence based care for patients through the effective and efficient use of resources within clearly defined protocols and guidelines. Nurse led clinics, telephone and email advice service, MDT meetings, biologic and immunomodulator monitoring is just a snap shot of the varied duties this role encompasses.
