They are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their dynamic team and help make a real difference to the lives of their youngest learners.
Role Overview:
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the delivery of high-quality early years education, working closely with the nursery team to ensure that children are provided with a safe, engaging, and enriching learning environment. You will be involved in a range of activities, helping to promote the development of children’s social, emotional, and academic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities for children in the nursery.
2. Assist with the day-to-day management of the nursery setting, ensuring it is a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment.
3. Support the learning and development of individual children, particularly those with additional needs.
4. Encourage children to develop their social skills, confidence, and independence.
5. Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to reports and assessments.
6. Support children with routine tasks such as settling in, toileting, and mealtimes.
7. Work closely with parents, carers, and other staff members to provide the best possible support for children.
Person Specification:
1. Experience of working with children, ideally in an early years setting.
2. A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
3. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
6. A willingness to engage in professional development and training.
7. A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) would be desirable.
