Transport Team Manager - Coventry
Overview: Full time, permanent position (Alternating day shift and night shift every two weeks) As a Transport Team Manager at Food Service Logistics, you will be in charge of managing an operational division of our company for Starbucks, managing the drivers and activities to guarantee that we consistently meet and strive to exceed our clients' expectations. This role is based at our Coventry depot.
Main Responsibilities include:
1. Fleet/HGV management on a wide range of vehicles.
2. Keeping expenses under control and overseeing operational needs.
3. Ensuring the operation is fully compliant with all legislative regulations including the operator licence, drivers' hours, tachograph infringements and working time.
4. Manage accident and incident reporting and investigation.
5. Conduct productive, on-time performance reviews; and manage any challenging conversations with drivers.
6. Handle ER problems promptly, communicating with HR and your manager to guarantee effective and consistent outcomes.
Essential Criteria:
1. Proven experience with multi-drop deliveries/planning.
2. Significant experience in a managerial position within Transport or Logistics.
3. Understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics.
4. Understanding of Transport management systems.
5. Experience in investigating vehicle accidents.
6. Significant experience with conducting investigations, disciplinaries, grievance, absence reviews etc.
7. Understanding of site health and safety regulations.
8. Knowledgeable and up to date on all Transport processes.
