Description
Manage and optimise stock levels in line with company targets
Develop strong relationships with suppliers
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers
Collaborate with other departments to forecast needs and manage stock
Implement and manage an effective stock control system
Resolve issues regarding delivered stock
Prepare and present stock level reports to management
Monitor supplier performance and instigate improvements where neededProfile
A successful Buying and Stock Controller should have:
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop relationships with suppliers
Excellent analytical skills for managing stock levels and forecasting
A good understanding of supply chain processes in the industrial/manufacturing sector
Experience within the engineering sector would be ideal
