Job summary We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Acute Mental Health Ward as a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) based at St George's Hospital, Stafford. We provide inpatient facilities for working age adults with acute mental health problems and we are looking for caring, compassionate individual to work within our acute service who are committed to providing high quality care and treatment to our patients. This is a 24/7 service and will be required to work on a shift rota pattern to cover service needs. Main duties of the job You will, inconjunction with the multi-disciplinary team, provide nursing interventions to support theperson to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and/ or participate in the review ofprogress towards those goals, utilising recommended outcome measures, involving theserviceuserandanyidentified carerthroughoutthe clinicalpathway. As part of this role, you will be expected to: Be responsible for the assessment of care needs and contributing to; the formulation of the person's needs and the development of a relevant plan based upon the person's negotiated goals and relevant evidence-based interventions. Deliver a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families. Ensure the safe custody of all patients as determined by the clinical team. This includes the supervision of patients within the hospital, grounds and the community, as required. Act as named nurse to a group of patients under the direction / supervision of the person identified with continuing responsibility. Participate in therapeutic group work programmes. Take charge of the ward in the absence of the ward manager and deputy ward manager.
