Our team of Community Safety Patrol Officers (CSPOs) play a vital role in tackling antisocial behaviour and environmental crime by taking a robust approach in dealing with offenders while providing high visibility patrols to reassure the community and working closely with the police and other partner organisations.
You will be confident in dealing with the public, working with councillors and partner organisations as well as challenging unacceptable behaviour. You will have excellent people skills and will be able to use your initiative to respond to a range of different situations, while acting as an ambassador for both the council and the Community Safety Partnership.
We are seeking individuals with the skills to address antisocial behaviour and who can achieve the requirements of the Hampshire Constabulary Community Safety Accreditation Scheme, for which training will be provided. Please note this post requires shift work, including regular unsocial hours and the ability to conduct patrols on foot and by bicycle in all weathers. A clear DBS check will be required before the successful candidate begins employment.
