Our Scotland Electrical team is looking for a highly proficient Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team.
What you’ll do!
The purpose of the role is to lead the High Voltage & Low Voltage electrical services for the planning, oversight, supervision, and assessment of the production of the infrastructure design documentation. This will include planning for and supporting integration with internal project stakeholder groups as well as external customer stakeholder groups.
Typical activities will include:
* Attendance at design review and project meetings.
* Attendance at Hazard Identification Workshops, optioneering reviews and other stakeholder meetings.
* Originating and reviewing of engineering documentation.
* Stakeholder Management.
* Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned project.
* Manage Consultant engineering support to the project.
* Contribute to the effective development and delivery of training within own area of specialism.

Qualifications

Requirements:
* BEng electrical engineering degree or equivalent experience.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of current design standards and working practices including British & European Standards.
* Knowledge on High Voltage & Low Voltage electrical systems.
* Theoretical and practical skill and experience across concept design, detailed design and construction stages across various electrical engineering projects (ideally including industrial and/or maritime).
* Experience in the design assessment of electrical plant and equipment to withstand hazards.
* Experience working on multi-discipline projects providing electrical engineering input (ideally within defence and/or maritime)
Desirable:
* Experience of working in the UK nuclear industry (energy or defence), particularly in the design and assessment of safety-related structures, systems and components.
* Knowledge of UK and US nuclear industry regulation and practice, and application of relevant nuclear specific codes and standards
Important Details:
* Due to the nature of the work undertaken successful applicants will need to have active UK SC Clearance or the ability to gain UK SC clearance.
* This role will also require you to work onsite in Glasgow 3 days per week.
