This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with some experience in the agricultural/ meat industry to join our team based in North Yorkshire.
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate individual to join our friendly livestock team. The successful candidate will work directly alongside the team to support on various projects – specifically carbon auditing as part of our on-going Agri sustainability strategy.
The successful candidate will spend time on farm speaking and liaising with producers from our supply base. The role will involve guiding them through the process of carbon auditing from collection to verification. In addition to this they will be responsible for liaising with industry bodies and building good working relationships.
The role will include collecting carbon information direct from farmers and processing this on a specific carbon toolkit. In addition, you will be required to help with various sustainability, welfare and knowledge transfer projects required for our varying customer base.
The successful candidate will be responsible for looking into new sustainability opportunities within the industry. They will report directly into the Agricultural Manager.
The role may include some travel to visit various farms – however will be predominately office based.
The Candidate
Knowledge of UK Agriculture with a good understanding of Livestock production systems
Specific Agri Sustainability experience is not required however a passion to be involved and develop within this area is essential.
Excellent organisational and communicational skills both written and verbal
Experienced in Microsoft Office - especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Enthusiastic, confident, professional and articulate.
Able to liaise and build relationships with people at all levels.
High level of attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
Able to manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks
Full driving license
