The Systems and Data Customer Care team delivers several initiatives to ensure we simplify the Retailer experience across our GCC systems which in return delivers against our commitment to ‘Customer Love’. This role will ensure that the initiatives & Products we deliver are maintained, and efficient and deliver continuous value to the business.
As Head of Products & Operations, you’ll be primarily responsible for defining, implementing, and shaping the overall system Product & Operations delivery across functional areas in GCC & for future retailer systems, defining and rolling out the system product initiatives/strategy. You’ll be a key link between business stakeholders (Customer Care, external system Suppliers & IT), JLR Global Digital, strategic data partners, global data teams across our markets, and JLR directors.
You will head up the team that delivers products that support the business both in Sales and Service using core GPO skills, the team currently supports products like GRP, the main retailer portal to access all JLR applications for a retailer. Vista, the sales tool for all new vehicles again used by the retailer. IPOS, the parts ordering system across all retailers. Other products are FIMs’ RPTK, Excellence, EWM, FDS.
The team ensures that the suppliers delivering the product conform to all JLR standards, deliver against agreed SLA, and are cost-efficient.
THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities
As Head of Product & Operations;
1. Lead & deliver the new approved Organisation Design across the GCC functional areas.
2. Create three new practices that will support GCC products, the new OD has identified three practices; SalesForce, SAP and the third being products outside of the first two.
3. Create a new DevOps model that shares best practice across all practices and drive efficiencies.
4. Work across the GCC functions to centralise products into the new practices where applicable.
5. Define the RACI for System Product Owner and Business Product Owner and align with GCC FL.
6. As the head of GCC products you will need to ensure you and the team refine and prioritise the system Product Backlog at Epic level, ensuring it is transparent, visible and understood by the squad Product Owners and stakeholders.
7. Setup and own the Group product roadmaps and report on these accordingly to ensure that the GCC FL are all aligned.
8. Support and lead the product owners and their squads to ensure we have product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project.
9. Ensure continuous refinement of the group backlog, planning at least two sprints ahead along with the business product owners.
10. Evaluate and provide clarity on the impact, business criticality and associated timescales of risks and issues across the Group and ensure communication with Business product owner.
11. Identify and communicate risks, issues and opportunities within the wider business.
As the Group Product Owner;
12. Strong product knowledge so that they know how to support their Group with delivering value proposition.
13. Work with Chapter Leads on resource planning so that the group has the skills and expertise required to deliver a successful products.
14. Supporting squad POs and Group Scrum Master with removing obstacles and drive productivity.
15. Have creator’s conversations with squad POs, providing motivation and constructive feedback for growth and development.
16. Inspire the Group by leading as a modern leader, demonstrating a growth mindset.
17. Organise, facilitate & participate in Product Owner CoP to share best practises, learnings and celebrate the community.
18. Strong communicator so that they can communicate vision, goals, and priority of backlog Items with both the Group squad members and other stakeholders.
19. Ability to influence and actively manage stakeholders, their desires, expectations, and outcomes.
20. Strategically capable to link Portfolio Epics to Domain Capabilities.
21. Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyse needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.
22. Remain up to date on trends and best practices for agile project management.

23. Delivery of consistent product & operations Strategy across GCC
24. Delivery and Management of circa £ budget across multiple suppliers.
25. Support up to 20 products across 3 practices, Salesforce, SAP & Others.
26. Creating an environment of continuous improvement and skills team members keeping up to date with Agile & market advances

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
32. Demonstrable Experience in delivering Agile & DevOps delivery across multiple disciplines.
33. Experience in supporting multiple SalesForce and or SAP product environments.
34. Strong understanding of the target Retailer & Customer’s needs and how that translates into the product group vision.
35. Strong communication skills and ability to align many stakeholders towards common long-term goals.
36. Experience of delivering retailer & customer facing business products.
37. Experience of delivering through Agile methodologies.
38. Experience working with 3rd party suppliers used in JLR.
