We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Engineer to join our Traffic Engineering team in London. With an established track record of delivering a wide variety of projects on local, national, and international scales, we work with public and private sector clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing services from feasibility design to detailed design and construction. We also support other GHD business lines where their projects involve transport interfaces.
We seek enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and motivated individuals with 3.5+ years of experience who can work effectively in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will have a strong technical background in traffic engineering design and modelling, along with excellent written and oral communication skills, which we aim to develop further. We value candidates with a willingness to learn and improve both technical and soft skills necessary for a good consultant.

Requirements for the Role:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant subject.
* Achieved or working towards a professional accreditation (e.g., CEng) is preferable.
* Experience in developing financially viable, high-quality designs and drawings, covering optioneering, feasibility, and concept design stages. Detailed design experience is a plus.
* Excellent practical and technical knowledge in junction improvements, bus priority, cycle design, and safety schemes.
* Significant experience with national and local highway and traffic standards, legislation, regulations, and procedures, including DMRB, LTNs, and TSRGD.
* Familiarity with latest design methods and standards.
* Experience developing local traffic models using packages like LINSIG and Junctions 10.
* Understanding of Transport for London’s Model Audit Process (MAP).
* Ability to prepare and interpret technical reports independently.
* Experience interpreting local traffic model outputs to influence scheme design.
* Good understanding of CDM 2015 and Road Safety Audit processes.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and related packages such as KeyLines, KeySigns, and Vehicle Tracking.
* Ability to apply engineering judgement to support low-risk/complexity projects.
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
