Job Description
Red Bull Racing is at the forefront of Formula One, where cutting-edge technology meets top-tier performance. Our pursuit of excellence on the track is matched only by our passion for innovation and talent off it. We are seeking a CAM Programming Manager for the Machine Shop team. This role involves working with the Machining Group Leader to optimise CAM processes and technologies, ensuring high machine utilisation, low external costs, and timely, accurate program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To organise CAM Programmers and prioritise daily workloads to ensure all machines can run effectively and maximise productivity within the departments liaising with the Machining Group Leader on relevant resource planning.
2. To be the first contact for the department to troubleshoot program related machine and manufacturing issues.
3. Providing feedback via Production Engineering and manufacturing issues and improvement suggestions to reduce cost or lead-time.
4. Responsible for the quality of programs produced, ensuring all appropriate processes are carried out, and that any deviations from specification are identified, and if possible corrected, prior to posting to the machine, with relevant communication and reports of any potential delays supplied to the Machining Group Leader.
5. To maintain a good communication channel with all shift personnel, the Nightshift Chargehand, Manufacturing Engineer and other shift leaders to enable work to be transferred from shift to shift effectively.
6. To utilise programming best practices to produce programs, liaising with Machining Group Leader and Machinists.
7. To ensure that company policies and procedures are administered consistently, seeking advice where appropriate.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience of managing and motivating a team of people.
2. Confident communicator with the proven ability to set clear achievable Objectives, Goals, Strategies & Measures.
3. Experience of programming using NX for a variety of multi axis machining centres with Heidenhain or Siemens NC Code and Controls.
4. Demonstrable experience of 5 Axis programming in a metallic, composite or pattern material background.
5. Proven experience in Veri-cut simulations software.
6. Demonstrable ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
7. Tight tolerance working skills.
8. Conscientious and methodical in approach.
9. Ability to work in a high pressured, team environment and to be self-motivated to meet tight deadlines.
10. Ability to work flexibly when additional shifts are required.
11. Actively support the Apprentice training programme.
