My client is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, seeking an experienced and dynamic Environmental Project Manager to join their established team. With a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions, they work closely with UK water companies, overseeing a diverse range of projects that include Carbon, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Permitting.

Key Responsibilities
As an Environmental Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of my clients’ projects and ensuring the highest standards of environmental management. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Project Oversight:
Manage a portfolio of projects for UK water companies, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
Oversee environmental aspects, including Carbon reduction initiatives, Biodiversity Net Gain strategies, Environmental Impact Assessments, and permitting processes.
2. Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and project partners.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of relevant environmental regulations and guidelines to ensure projects align with legal requirements.
Provide guidance on compliance issues and proactively address regulatory challenges.
4. Project Planning & Reporting:
Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements.
Generate regular reports on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as necessary.
5. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA):
Lead or contribute to EIA processes, ensuring the thorough assessment and documentation of environmental impacts.
Provide strategic input to EIA strategies and coordinate with relevant specialists.
6. Carbon & Biodiversity Initiatives:
Design and implement Carbon reduction projects, working towards sustainable solutions.
Develop and manage Biodiversity Net Gain strategies, promoting positive impacts on ecosystems.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in environmental project management within the consultancy sector.
3. Strong knowledge of UK water industry practices and regulations.
4. Familiarity with Carbon reduction initiatives, Biodiversity Net Gain, EIA, and permitting processes.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results.
