What will you do?
As our new Business Ethics & Legal Compliance Manager you will lead Cadelers global ethics and compliance framework, ensuring regulatory alignment and fostering a strong ethical culture. Acting as a trusted advisor, youll oversee compliance risks, policies, training, and stakeholder engagement while driving continuous improvements.
Your main tasks include:
Oversee and further develop the companys global compliance framework, human rights programs and Due Diligence, ensuring regulatory alignment, managing compliance risks, and supporting ethical business practices across all functions.
Strengthen, maintain and implement Cadelers Code of Conduct and key compliance policies, embedding ethical considerations into business processes and decisions.
Design and deliver training programs, and internal communications to embed and promote a strong ethical culture across day-to-day operations.
Conduct audits, risk assessments, and handle investigations liaising with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance effectiveness and providing reports to leadership and stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor and business partner for all employees and external partners,
Assess and mitigate risks related to regulatory compliance
Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes, guidelines and policies against industry standards to enhance compliance programs.

We are looking for a sharp and pragmatic professional who can navigate complex regulations, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and tackle challenges with a proactive, ethical, and solution-focused mindset.
We think you will be a good match if you have a:
A relevant degree in, commercial law, business administration, or a related field
+8 years of experience in ethics and compliance, legal risk management, or corporate governance, preferably in a global organization.
Extensive understanding of international human rights frameworks (UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, Modern Slavery Acts, etc.), global compliance laws (e.g. Anti-Corruption, GDPR) and risk management.
Experience in developing corporate policies, delivering training programs, and managing corporate compliance reporting.
Proactive mindset, strong stakeholder management across company levels up to Board of Directors, and results oriented drive, influencing company strategy and decision making
