Supplier Quality Engineer job vacancy at an award winning engineering manufacturer. Joining the production operations team, the Quality Engineer will be supplier quality biassed and also work closely with production, engineering and NPI colleagues to improve engineering supplier Quality Engineering for electro mechanical assemblies, metal assemblies, electrical and wiring components and connectors. The Quality Engineer will be joining a growing £20m turnover engineering and manufacturing business. They design and manufacture in the UK, and export to an increasing number of countries. £50-55,000 salary 6% employer pension contribution, 25 days off (BHols) & company-wide bonus often worth around 5%. The Quality Engineer will be focused towards supplier quality engineer activities and also support the manufacturing engineers with new product introduction. ·Supply chain quality for electro mechanical sub assemblies, wiring and connectors, metal pressings and mechanical assembles. ·Planned supplier Quality Engineering visits to existing and new suppliers in the UK and Europe to strengthen the manufacturing supply chain. ·The Quality Engineer will also support colleagues on aspects of supplier quality engineering during new product introduction or new process introduction. This could involve supporting the creation and documentation of work instructions, SOP’s, etc. ·Additional activities for the Quality Engineer can include supporting internal audits (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001/4500). The ideal background for this supplier quality biassed Quality Engineer job include ·A can-do positive approach in a business which is growing and suppling into customers worldwide. ·A qualified engineer with some knowledge of at least one of the following; small to medium electro mechanical equipment and assemblies, electrical components, connectors and wiring, etc, ·Experience of working in manufacturing or engineering supply chain. ·Soft skills required include team work and good communication face to face and in written documents relating to both supplier quality, SOPs and the ability to communicate with the engineering supply chain in a friendly and profession way. ·Hard skills as an engineer should include the ability to read CAD drawings or electro-mechanical schematics. £50-55,000 salary 6% employer pension contribution, 25 days off (BHols) & company-wide bonus often worth around 5%.
