Job summary We are seeking a Radiology Services Manager to lead the Radiology Directorate at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, following the promotion of the current post holder. The successful candidate will work closely with the Clinical Director for Radiology and the Matron for Clinical Support Services to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services within the Radiology Directorate. Radiology services are provided across all three of our hospital sites: Watford General Hospital, St Albans City Hospital, and Hemel Hempstead Hospital. We are currently upgrading our facilities, including the installation of new Nuclear Medicine equipment and the development of CT and MRI services through the Community Diagnostic Centre programme. In addition, we have recently partnered with our charity, RAISE, to open a new Interventional Radiology suite. We are also progressing a number of major service developments, including the repatriation of Non-Obstetric Ultrasound services and the opening of the Community Diagnostic Centre. Main duties of the job In collaboration with the service leads, the post holder will be responsible and accountable for the overall management of the services. This includes developing strategic business plans, overseeing performance management, and implementing processes to ensure the achievement of all key targets. The post holder must demonstrate experience in HR and budget management, along with strong leadership and decision-making skills, and a clear commitment to delivering a high-quality service. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for this role, as is the ability to demonstrate skills in team building, coaching, and mentoring.
