We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Bids Executive to join our ambitious Marketing team in our Bristol or Exeter office. In this role you will support the Firm in winning new business by working with the Bids Manager to deliver the bids process successfully. The role will work with a variety of legal teams across the Firm, with a key focus on the public sector. The role will also work on private sector pitches and credentials documents when required. This will include: Working with the lead lawyer and wider bid team to develop a winning strategy, clearly identifying our value proposition. Developing thorough knowledge and understanding of Michelmores' complete offering. Writing compelling bid copy in line with our tone of voice. Completing pre-qualification and selection questionnaires. Preparing lawyers for interview stage. Producing tender analysis and reporting. Why this team? Through developing innovative marketing and business development strategies and working closely with Partners and colleagues to implement them, the team plays an instrumental role in progressing the growth of the Firm. The team covers the full range of marketing and business development activities, including creating marketing strategies and plans, managing our brand and social profile, producing content and marketing materials, organising and running client and Firm events, managing bids, helping lawyers to develop deeper client relationships, and developing colleagues marketing and networking skills. Our business development specialists partner with leaders across the Firms sectors to identify growth and marketing opportunities, building strong working relationships and in-depth sector knowledge. Whilst the communication and events professionals utilise their creativity and specialist skills to amplify our brand to help attract and retain clients. How do we work? We are looking for somebody who will understand our values and thrive in our culture. The role is based in our Bristol or Exeter office and the ideal candidate will have: 5 years of bid writing experience. Good understanding of public sector tender processes and stages. Experience of working and collaborating with senior stakeholders. Experience of working in professional services is desirable. Experience of contributing to tender pricing approaches is desirable. Proficient with MS Office including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Other skills required include: Confident in challenging the status quo, and suggesting alternative approaches. Excellent communicator at all levels both written and verbal. Ability to deliver complex submissions to deadline. Flexible and organised - able to juggle multiple deadlines and changing priorities A team player helpful and prepared to go the extra mile in supporting colleagues Proactive, committed and positive in approach to work Desire to provide high levels of service, ensuring work is of high quality and right first time.
