The International Trade Administration team ensures that Seagate adheres to all laws, regulations, and policies related to the import and export of goods and services across international borders. The department’s primary responsibility is to ensure that business operations are compliant with national and international trade rules, including export controls, sanctions, tariffs, and customs regulations.
About the role - you will:
As a key part of the EMEA ITA team, the main responsibilities of this position include:
* Ensure Seagate trade activities remain compliant with international trade regulations
* Process import and export transactions ensuring correct product classification and documentation
* Liaise with internal and external customers including Seagate departments, freight forwarders, brokers and HMRC for information pertaining to imports and exports
* Provide timely and accurate information to HMRC, brokers and management
* Administrate Seagate’s duty suspension programs including inward processing relief (IPR), bonded warehousing, free trade agreements
* Support Global ITA’s 24/5 shipping support obligation and transactional processing in relation to sanctioned party and embargo list screening
* Administration of export controls: export control classification, export license administration & recordkeeping, ongoing monitoring of regulatory changes in export controls legislation.
* Participate in compliance audits with HMRC and the Export Control Organisation
* Maintain product master tables within trade systems
* Assist with trade system enhancements; testing, troubleshooting etc.
About you:
* Strong background in a finance environment, with either customs, import/export duties, VAT and duty suspensions schemes, ideally with an understanding of intrastat is highly desirable.
* High degree of technology literacy and familiarity with technology-based trade compliance systems, such as ERP, global trade systems etc.

* Good communication and documentation skills and desire to work collaboratively and share knowledge with other team members.
* Demonstrate excellence in terms of initiative and a proactive approach to the job role.

Hybrid role - Come to office 2 days a week.
