We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician/Draftsperson to be a key member of the Change Management process by actioning requests within the business to update technical documentation.
This role is offered on a 6-12 month fixed-term contract basis.
The Role
As CAD Technician/Draftsperson, you will provide specialist engineering support involving machining processes and process control for new and existing components.
Key duties:
1. Updating technical documentation as per Change Requests.
2. Creating 3-D models via change process.
3. Establishing a clear priority list of changes that align to production output and any new part introduction process.
4. Ensuring the implementation and validation of a given change request.
5. Identifying areas for improvement in the process for updating technical documentation.
6. Liaising with R&D to determine the need for additional V&V (Verification & Validation) for applicable Change Requests.
7. Coordinating Production Engineering to review and implement appropriate actions because of Change Requests.
What are we looking for?
Key Skills:
1. HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Experience in a previous role involving updating drawings via CAD / CAM.
3. SolidWorks Modelling experience.
4. Experience of Change Management systems.
5. Strong communicator with good interpersonal and analytical skills.
6. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work as part of a team and or independently with minimum support.
7. Ability to manage changing priorities adapting to multiple projects at the same time.
