Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to develop your specialist nursing skills and join an established community Parkinson's specialist nurse service in Trafford. You will be working in alongside a Highly Specialist Parkinson's nurse with significant experience. The service sits within the Trafford Community stroke and Neurorehabilitation Team portfolio, and therefore has close links to the Neuro rehabilitation Pathway, which includes Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, Clinical psychology, Dietetics, a Neurorehabilitation Nurse and Social worker. Main duties of the job The Community Parkinson's Specialist nurse main duties will include: Holistic assessment and prescription of complex management plans for people with Parkinson's either as part of routine condition reviews or in the presence of an identifieddeterioration Support patients and their relatives when newly diagnosed with Parkinson's Support other health professionals with specialist advice and support in the management of Parkinson's patients in their services.
