Due to the ongoing growth and development of the organisation, Ashbridge is looking for an experienced, dynamic and skilled Cleaning Supervisor to inspire and lead our established team of domestic staff. The domestic team play a key part in ensuring our settings are kept to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness for the children and the staff to enjoy.

Shift patterns will be 6 pm - 10:15 pm Monday to Friday.
JOB ROLE OVERVIEW
1. Oversee and supervise domestic staff on a day to day basis ensuring that cleaning duties are carried out throughout the setting in an effective and efficient way to meet our required exceptional standards.
2. Responsible for own areas of cleaning and ensuring kept to the standard required.
3. Ensuring that all cleaning/domestic staff adhere to School policies and legislation regarding cleaning, hygiene and health and safety.
4. Covering cleaning/domestic duties when staff within the team are absent.
5. Producing duty rotas for evening and weekend events each term.
6. Planning, supervising and participating in deep cleaning schedules during the school holidays.
7. Controlling cleaning supplies across the site cleaning cupboards, carrying out routine stock checks and submitting orders for additional supplies to the Nursery Manager when required.
8. Identifying formal and informal training needs for all cleaning/domestic staff and train new staff in cleaning/domestic tasks as necessary.
9. Communicating to the Nursery Manager on any issues that arise.
10. Fire alarm testing.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
* An experienced Cleaning Supervisor with at least 1 years’ experience in a post of a similar nature.
* Proven Leadership and Management skills – motivating, delegating, coaching, organising and inspiring.
* Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
* Ability to use initiative & a flexible approach.
* Ability to identify and monitor levels of attention to detail.

This role meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
