What you can Bring:
1. Extensive experience in procurement and commercial management of large-scale EPC contracts (£bn+), ideally in HVDC converter stations or high-voltage power infrastructure.
2. Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract execution.
3. Experience managing OEM contracts for HVDC converter stations, transformers, and power electronics.
4. Proven ability to lead contract negotiations on complex, high-value infrastructure projects.
5. Experience in interface management between HVDC suppliers, transmission operators, and EPC contractors.
6. Strong background in risk management, change control, and dispute avoidance.
7. Leadership experience in managing teams of commercial managers.
8. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline; professional accreditation (RICS, CIPS) preferred.
Your Purpose:
1. Lead and finalize negotiations on a highly complex, £bn+ EPC contract for HVDC converter OEM supply.
2. Oversee contract execution, administration, and change control, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
3. Manage commercial risk, claims prevention, and dispute resolution in HVDC supply contracts.
4. Lead a team of commercial managers, ensuring best practice contract governance.
5. Develop and maintain supplier and stakeholder relationships, particularly with HVDC technology providers.
6. Monitor contract performance, costs, and compliance with technical and commercial obligations.
7. Drive a risk management strategy, ensuring effective contract controls and issue mitigation.
