HireGiant is looking for an Assistant Depot Manager for our client based in Newmarket. This is a national client with sites all over the UK.
The Role of the Assistant Depot Manager:
As Assistant Depot Manager, you will support the senior management team and will deputize and run the operation in their absence. In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Planning and resourcing to ensure a smooth day and twilight operation
* Packing all newspaper and magazine products using the tracking process
* Management of all ‘returnable products’ to the returns department
* Supervising all staff, providing training and coaching, and identifying training needs
* Providing accurate reports that highlight any challenges or successes
* Working closely with the management team to identify potential risks
* Maintaining a high level of health and safety at all times
* Ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy
Requirements:
* A track record of success in a fast-paced warehouse environment
* An effective approach to meeting and exceeding targets and delivering an outstanding client experience
* People management or supervisory experience
* Computer literate and comfortable using technology and IT systems
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* A full manual car license
