We’re looking for an Employee Relations (ER) Manager to join us in Bradford.
The ER Manager will deliver a consistent, high quality Employee Relations service, working as part of a small team supporting our UK and Netherlands locations, reporting into the Senior Manager, Employee Relations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing sound Employee Relations advice, ensuring the business is equipped to make the right decisions both commercially and in accordance with the organisations risk profile. You will also be responsible for supporting and coaching line managers across the end-to-end employee lifecycle, end-to-end case management and supporting large-scale business change.
What will you be doing?
1. Employee Relations Case Management – proactively advising and supporting Line Managers regarding ER employment issues such as sickness, absence, performance management etc.
2. Working proactively with People Business Partners providing timely and accurate advice
3. Carrying out case reviews assessing risk and advising accordingly – management of complex cases
4. Attendance at meetings where appropriate
5. Provide timely and accurate advice to Line Managers in ER process, procedures, and ER Policy and employment law risk
6. Supporting Liberty Global with Restructures, TUPE, settlements, and other business change processes with people impact
7. Supporting with People Policy development and Line Manager support tools
8. Working with wider business stakeholders on ad hoc People Projects
9. Analysis of ER data and business insights; proactively highlighting trends and recommending actions
10. Preparation of Employment Tribunal bundles
11. Delivery of Line Manager skills training as required
We tend to look for people with:
Essential:
12. Proven track record in a role with large ER exposure, ideally within a customer orientated commercial environment.
13. A solid understanding of UK employment legislation, it’s application and best practice
14. A broad understanding of the employee lifecycle
15. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data, trends, and insights.
16. Demonstration of proactive commercially based approach to case management and risk
17. Experience of supporting Business Change initiatives such as TUPE and Re structures
18. Experience with working closely with stakeholders effectively, resolving issues and understanding drivers/needs, building good relationships with internal and external departments and 3rd party organisation
19. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across cultural boundaries
20. Self-motivated proactive goal oriented, well-organised, adaptable, and resilient
21. Demonstrates confidence in communication with all levels of the organization
22. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
23. Has some exposure to managing ACAS and ET claims
