Salary Information: The salary is £37,037 a year which includes a shift allowance of £3,601 and a temporary Market Rate Supplement of up to £4,962.

The Opportunity
In the role of HGV Technician, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
You will be part of a hardworking and dedicated team, to carry out the repair, maintenance and diagnostics of Heavy and Light Commercial Vehicles and associated equipment. This may include electrical and hydraulic systems along with some welding and fabrication work.
You must be willing to go on a callout standby rota covering out of hours breakdowns with a standard call out fee and overtime pay for every call out received.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
City and Guilds Level 1,2 and 3 or equivalent NVQ Standard in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair along with relevant, previous experience working on HGV vehicles.
Experience of specialist vehicles such as RCV’s and Road Sweepers would be desirable but not essential.
A full HGV licence with DCPC would also be desirable but training can be provided to a successful candidate.

A temporary market rate supplement of up to £4,962 a year is attached to this post. This is in addition to the basic salary and is subject to regular review which may result in the supplement being reduced or withdrawn. The supplement will also reduce in line with incremental progression and pay awards.
