You will work closely with world-class craftsmen and emerging innovators to develop and launch collections that celebrate natural materials, unparalleled quality, and timeless design. Your Mission: Curate, Create, Inspire
As Head of Homeware Buying, you will have ownership over the product lifecycle—from the initial spark of a concept, right through to development, marketing, and performance review. With your deep industry knowledge, you will curate collections that fuse design and functionality, leveraging your relationships with artisans, suppliers, and stakeholders to craft a truly aspirational offering.
You will be the driving force behind sourcing new, original products and emerging trends, ensuring our collections stand at the forefront of innovation while remaining faithful to the brand’s values of quality and sustainability. With an unerring eye for design, an ability to lead diverse teams, and a passion for excellence, your role will be central in achieving our goal of delivering luxurious homeware that is both aspirational and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Curate and Source: Take charge of actively exploring global artisans and suppliers to unearth luxurious, original products, keeping ahead of market trends and emerging styles.
* Collaborative Creation: Partner with our in-house Creative Team and suppliers to develop bespoke, luxury products that embody the brand's ethos—quality, sustainability, and craftsmanship.
* Drive Commercial Success: Manage the product development cycle, ensuring collections are aligned with seasonal trends, market demands, and sustainability goals. Develop ranges that drive sales, profitability, and category growth.
* Supplier Relationships: Cultivate and lead supplier partnerships with finesse—negotiating exceptional terms and securing the best prices without compromising on quality or brand integrity.
* Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse sales data, track trends, and review product performance, adjusting the range and SKU count to ensure maximum market appeal and financial success.
* Project Ownership: Take full responsibility for the critical path, ensuring all deadlines for third-party and own-brand product development are met. Tackle challenges with a solutions-based approach, keeping projects on track and on brand.
* Market Leadership: Stay ahead of the curve with regular competitor reviews, ensuring the product offering is always unique, innovative, and aspirational.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Passionate About Product: You have an unwavering passion for discovering beautiful, high-quality homeware and have a keen eye for spotting emerging trends and artisans.
* Leadership Excellence: With 3+ years of experience leading product teams, you are a natural leader who fosters collaboration, creativity, and results-driven action.
* Luxury Market Expertise: You come from a luxury background and understand the delicate balance between commercial success and maintaining brand integrity, quality, and exclusivity.
* Strong Negotiator: Your exceptional communication and negotiation skills will ensure you secure the best prices, terms, and margins, always with the aim of delivering excellence.
* Sustainability Advocate: You have a deep appreciation for sustainability and its role in the future of luxury design, which is integrated into every decision you make.
* Analytical and Creative: You blend data-driven insights with creative vision, able to anticipate market shifts and adapt swiftly to changing priorities.
* Technical Knowledge: With advanced Excel skills and a strong grasp of all MS Office tools, you're equipped to handle all aspects of the product development process.
This role will be based at our London and Cotswolds offices, and will also involve wider travel.
