Job Opportunity: Manufacturing Engineer
Our client, a renowned manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their high-performing operational engineering team. The Role As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be a crucial part of a dedicated team, working closely with Maintenance, Business Development, and Assembly units to deliver responsive engineering services. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will focus on continuous improvement, implementing new technologies, and ensuring efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
* Support daily manufacturing operations, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements in cell performance.
* Upgrade legacy applications by developing new tools
* Analyse production data to improve processes, develop dashboards, and implement Control Plan tools.
* Lead trials to establish robust process control limits using six-sigma methodology.
* Collaborate with product designers and equipment suppliers to set specifications and lead new cell implementations.
* Ensure compliance with H&S, PUWER, and quality documentation standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Education & Experience: Degree (BEng) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
* Technical Skills: Automation, motion control, robot processes, PLC programming, and PowerApps.
* Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to drive continuous improvement using lean tools.
* Personal Attributes: Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to maintain a positive outlook under pressure.
Preferred Skills (Desirable)
* LSS green-belt certification, familiarity with Minitab, and knowledge of pressure systems. c# & Python.
