This is an exciting opportunity for a band 5 registered nurse to join our stroke rehabilitation team on a fixed term contract.
We work very closely with the hyper acute centres across greater Manchester to ensure patients receiving safe, effective, and evidence based care to ensure maximum recovery following a stroke.
We work together as a large multidisciplinary team, all striving with a shared vision to help our patients recover with maximum independence.
The team have embraced the MFT's Wha t Matters to Me, work and use it to ensure we find out what is most important to our patients, get to know them well and support them to be involved in all decisions about their care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and themaintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift to shift basis.
