This position is is to support across the 4 shifts, therefore this is a day based position with the requirement to cover shift Logistics FLM holidays. Key dimensions: (headcount, volumes, service level and EBITDA Number of Direct Reports: circa 18 including seasonal workers Service Level : as per target Volume throughput per day/week/month: as per the required loading plan Department financial targets Key contacts: (internal – external) Brewery Manager; Department Heads; People Manager; First Line Managers; Local Union representatives; HSE inspectors; Environment agencies; Raw Material suppliers; external Contractors; HMC&E officials; Occupational Health; FLT Engineers Accountabilities: Takes responsibility for managing the shift within the Logistics operation on site Motivates the team to deliver the departmental KPI`s Promotes and ensures compliance to Safety within the operation Tracks time and attendance within the approved system Performance Management & compliance with disciplinary procedures Is accountable to adhere to agreed Logistics processes (eg SLAs, H&S) Is regarded to act as interface to warehouse / Logistics manager concerning issues about: customers, products, equipment, conditions, people, processes, daily operations issues, dependencies to other departments Attends daily shift handover meetings & joint daily department meetings Report all relevant team KPIs as defined through the MCRS process Complies to EH&S, quality and HACCP standards Manages people: leads shift handover meetings, work schedules, training needs, union relationships, individual performance, yearly one-on-one sessions, innovation program and team motivation To deliver 1:1 s & training plans – appropriate records maintained accordingly Walk the floor – lead by example, positively challenge under-performance, reinforce good behaviors Celebrate success – work collaboratively to develop appropriate recognition policies for the site Actively seek feedback and monitor progress against plans Ensure staff are motivated to achieve high standards of performance with department Ensures cost optimization across all areas of the department Assists with capital projects as required Manages shift rotas, including arranging replacements for absent employees on the next shift Follows up on innovation activities from the team Executes tasks as identified in the role’s checklist Responsible for budgetary monitoring and control as allocated.
